Instead of your regularly scheduled Author Comment, you get to read an important PSA.

Father: Son, did you take out the trash?
Son: Yup.
Father: Did you finish all your homework?
Son: Yeah, dad.
Father: Did you vote for Detective Tarson?
Son: No.
Father: *sigh* ... Son, you need to vote every day.
Son: But it's stupid! The comic doesn't even make any sense! Plus, the author is a lazy bastard!
Father: I know, son, I know. It's important, though, even more important than eating and sleeping.
Son: Why!?
Father: ... You see that hairy man over there?
Son: You mean Uncle Flanagan?
Father: Yes. He's not actually your uncle, he's an escaped convict from a heavy duty prison in Greenland. Also, he's a bear.
Flanagan: What up?
Son: But... Why does he live here? All he does is stand there and yell the names of classical musicians.
Father: I forgot to vote for Detective Tarson once, son. I woke up the next day and he was there. It's a punishment.
Son: Whoah, really?
Father: Yes. This is why it's important to vote for Detective Tarson each and every day.
Son: It's all so clear now.
Bandit: Hey, gimme all your money!
Father: Oh no!
Son: Dad!
Bandit: Bring me all your valuables, or your daddy here will be sleeping with the fishes!
Flanagan: Johann Sebastian Bach!
Bandit: What the-!?
*THWACK!*
Father: Flanagan! You saved me!
Flanagan: I think you've learned your lesson, Mr. Johnson. I'm no longer here to bring terror to your family as they sleep, I am now here to bodyguard you from any incoming danger. Consider it a reward for voting so much.
Father: Thank you so much, Flanagan.
Flanagan: It's what I do.
