Sorry for the delay, comics coming soon!

Hey, a bit of a problem, college started and I haven't had a chance to make comics yet.

You see, I'm new to college, and there's a library that's perfect for drawing comics during the two free hours I have on Tuesday and Thursday, but I can't get inside! I swear, it's like a dark labyrinth nobody's allowed to enter! I already sold a majority of my soul collection to figure out how to get in, but I still can't find the entrance! All I've got is some stupid treasure map and instructions on finding the 7 library keys, which are each apparently guarded by demons, warlords, and an upside-down horse! I've also got a double-sided ghost katana, given to me by a mysterious old man at the technical facilities building. I've currently got 5 keys, and am now chasing after my Intro to Film teacher (I had a feeling he was evil all along) to get the 6th. He knows I hate bats, and keeps sending them towards me. Damn things are way too hard to dodge, almost as bad as Medusa's head.

Anyways, I've kinda got my hands full, so I'll need a couple of days to finally get back to drawing Detective Tarson, and that includes your bonus drawing and bonus chapter! Also, I can promise that there will be a male pregnant seahorse at some point in the future.

Requests for the DT bonus drawing are now open!

Hey everybody. While I'm busy planning Chapter 3, I thought that now might be a better time than ever to make that bonus drawing you earned for nominating Detective Tarson for the WTF Award in the Smack Jeeves Webcomic Awards 2010.

Now, the special thing about this bonus drawing? You're all going to decide what it has! That's right, anything you suggest in a comment in this news post will show up in the bonus drawing!

In other words, if you comment here that you want to see Tarson riding a walrus, you can expect that Tarson will be riding a walrus in the bonus drawing! How INTENSE!

Of course, I have to set a few rules so that you guys don't go crazy or something.

1: You can make more than one request, but only your first is guaranteed to make it into the drawing.
2: No inappropriate content. If you're not sure whether your request would be considered inappropriate or not, be sure to add a second just in case.
3: No copyrighted anything. I don't care if you want to see Tarson fighting your favorite cartoon character, it's not happening. Of course, your request can involve anything I've made in the past, as long as it belongs to me.
4: No cameos. I don't care if you're giving me permission to use your character, I'm not using it. If I want to use your character, I'll ask you.
5: You might be thinking, what if one person requests something that contradicts another person's request? Well, two things can happen in this case. Either the requests will be blended, or I'll just choose the request that came first. Every so often, I might just pick the one I like more, but in order for this to happen, one of the requests has to be significantly better than the other.
6: If your request breaks one of the rules, but you think it's good enough to be an exception, go ahead and post it. You're not gonna get in trouble for requesting things that are against the rules.
7: If your request can't be fulfilled, I'll comment here letting you know, and your next request will become your main request until you post otherwise.

If you want to make an anonymous request, feel free to PM me.

For the sake of preventing any possible cheating, you must have an account on Smack Jeeves and must have favorited Detective Tarson in order to make a request.

And... that's it! Get requesting, and be sure to check back every so often to make sure your request is fine with me.

Last day to vote for Detective Tarson at the SJ Awards!

Hey guys, today is the very last day to vote at the Smack Jeeves Webcomic Awards 2010! I know what you're thinking! It's BOOORING.

Just look at it this way, you probably have nothing better to do, and you favorited this comic, so you may as well support it a bit.

Remember, if Detective Tarson wins, you all get a bonus chapter, where each of you get to suggest something about it! Oh, and you're still getting that bonus drawing I mentioned before for getting Tarson nominated.

Thanks for reading! Unfortunately, the next page won't be up by the end of July (I don't have access to my scanner), so this is it! If you haven't voted yet, this is your last chance to, and I'd really appreciate it!

Take a stinking guess. >:(

After finally beating Spirit Tracks (11 freaking dungeons, I love this game), I thought to myself, "Hey, I should work on that dumb webcomic I have!" So I did exactly that.

I decided to take the first perfect mechanical pencil I've had in a long time and a bunch of my plans with me so I could work on Tarson wherever I go. Well, after a stupid little incident which was in no way my fault, some of my important plans and new character profiles (such as B. Wundermunn, Detective Frijole Tarso, and Happy Hugs), along with my perfect mechanical pencil, were left at a restaurant. And, as you'd probably guess, the waiters had to be inconsiderate morons and couldn't hold on to a few pages full of writing for a stinking hour before I came back and asked if they had them. No, they never saw any papers. Pricks.

Well, as a result, I lost some of my plans, character profiles, and storyboards for Detective Tarson because some jerk-ass decided I'd never notice it was gone. Sorry, but the next Tarson's going to be delayed until I get a new mechanical pencil and get my plans back up to date.

A few cool Tarson-related things.

I was gonna post a bunch of nice stuff in the latest update, but I completely forgot to, so I'll post it here.

Detective Tarson in Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal! -er, Detective Larson?
About a week and a half ago, I decided to check on Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, the bestest comic in the world. This is what I saw:
http://www.smbc-comics.com/index.php?db=comics&id=1860#comic
Coincidence? Yeah, probably, but hot damn! It looks a lot like him, and the name's almost exactly the same! When I see Zach Weiner at Comic Con this July, I'll tell him all about this HI-LARIOUS story and get him to draw me Detective Tarson.

Detective Tarson related projects slowing down... Detective Tarson
Okay, so I've been hard at work on two different Detective Tarson related projects lately, which is my brilliant excuse for the slow updates. Unfortunately, I can't promise that they'll be done anytime soon, but I can promise that they'll be STINKIN' AWESOME! I've seriously got like 10 pages or more of work for each project right now, and I'm really putting a lot of effort into them. Oh, and should I mention that the completion of one of these projects will mean really good news to one of you readers? Which of you is it? Only I know. Sleep on that.

The Puzzle Agent
Okay, so this one really has nothing to do with Detective Tarson, but nonetheless, it's insanely awesome. Telltale Games just revealed some new info tonight on their upcoming work of art, The Puzzle Agent. It's going to have Telltale Games' well-known point-and-click adventure gameplay, with a blend of inspiration from Professor Layton and Ace Attorney. I've already pre-ordered my copy and, frankly, I'm PSYCHED!!! Check out the official website for yourself, this game is gonna be intense.

That's all I have to say for today. I might bump back with some more news from time to time.

Sunday update?

Those of you with no life might've noticed that there was a Sunday update this week, which isn't supposed to happen according to the profile. Well, the profile's a lying piece of crap, and, more importantly, I accidentally posted the page a day early. So, as you could probably imagine, there might not be an update today. I'm almost done with the next page, so it's gonna pretty much be a battle between Monday and Tuesday.

By the way, I joined a relatively new comic hosting site, so if you're cool, you'll vote for that one too.

Lastly, no school mostly means no Detective Tarson, so you shouldn't really expect an update during Thanksgiving break.

Anyway, your turn to talk now, do you guys think I should start uploading pages on the weekend, too? Most of the time, I only get 4 or 5 pages done throughout the week, but some are held over the weekend. So here's my question: When should I upload my pages?
a) Weekdays.
b) Weekdays and once on the weekend if I get it done then.
c) Immediately when I finish the page (unless I'd already posted a page that day)

News posts are now in favorites!

Well, along with the beautiful new layout in Smack Jeeves, you can now check the latest news posts of your favorite comics in your favorites! A genius idea, suggested by yours truly.

Anyways, lotsa nice crap happened this weekend. First of all, I became a moderator of The Behemoth forums! That's just awesome right there! Maybe one day I'll actually make games with them! But for now, that's just a damn dream, let's move on.

Well, if you've checked out the link bar, you'll notice that this website is now www.detectivetarson.com! That's like another pile of awesome added to the awesome cake! HOLY CRAP.

At the point where everything sounds perfect, it's time for bad news! Yay! Well, it's Sunday night, and Monday's page of Detective Tarson hasn't been colored yet. In other words, Monday's page will either be late or it'll be moved to Tuesday. Sorry about that.

Anyway, if you're reading this, please leave a comment and let me know if you're planning on using the feature I CAME UP WITH in order to check news posts. It would really be helpful in letting me know that I won't be talking to myself whenever I upload any news.
